Established to Serve the Community of Powys
Preserving the heritage of Llanspyddid and Brecon through sacred window stewardship, while alleviating poverty in Powys with essential support during the hardest times of year.
Our Heritage
The Charity of William Pearce was founded with a dual mission that continues to define our work today: preserving the sacred heritage of our local churches while extending a helping hand to those in need within our community.
We maintain the beautiful memorial windows in the churches of Llanspyddid and Brecon St. Mary and St. David—treasured pieces of art that tell the stories of faith, remembrance, and local history spanning generations.
At the same time, we respond to immediate need by providing essential food, fuel, and clothing to the deserving poor of Llanspyddid parish during Christmas time—when the cold is bitter and the need is greatest.

What We Do
Our programmes span two worlds—honouring the past while serving the present needs of our community.
We maintain and preserve the beautiful memorial windows in St. Mary and St. David churches in Brecon and Llanspyddid, ensuring these treasured artworks continue to illuminate worship spaces for generations to come.
Heritage Preservation
Each Christmas, we provide essential food parcels to families and individuals in need throughout Llanspyddid parish, ensuring no one goes hungry during the festive season.
Annual Food Relief
We provide fuel assistance and warm clothing to those struggling with heating costs during Powys' harsh winters, keeping families warm and safe when temperatures drop.
Winter SupportBeyond our direct programmes, we provide grants to individuals facing hardship and support local organisations working to improve community well-being throughout Powys.

Community Hope
"The charity's work maintaining our church windows connects us to generations past, while their Christmas programme reminds us that compassion transcends time. William Pearce's legacy lives on in every warm home and full table this winter."— A Grateful Parishioner, Llanspyddid
Our services extend throughout Powys, with particular focus on the Llanspyddid parish and the historic town of Brecon. We serve communities across this beautiful corner of Wales, from the valleys to the market towns.
The Charity of William Pearce exists to prevent and relieve poverty in Powys while preserving cultural heritage. We help other defined groups through grants to individuals and organisations, making a real difference in people's lives.
